The duo Ne.Hau consists of Danny Marin and Ren Albieri. Taking into account their combined tenure in the music world, it comes as no surprise that they have achieved such a finely tuned signature sound.
You’d be hard pressed to find artists who are as qualified to build on the legacy of the deep tech/minimal genre as Ne.Hau. By utilizing cutting-edge production methods to take calculated creative risks, the DJ/producer duo creates unprece- dented dimension, big rolling bass lines, galactic tones and trippy synths that make up the template for the signature sound of Ne.Hau.
Marin was born in California and relocated to Colorado as a child. After learning to DJ from a handful of friends, he stumbled upon electronic music while crate digging at the local record shop.Tracks by the likes of Leftfield, Adam Freeland and Amé made up the soundtrack of his formative years, and he became a fixture at such boulder mainstays as The Root, The Snakepit, BETA, Club Vinyl and Soma. In the mid-2000s he became a fixture at Boulder and Denver clubs like Suite 200, The Purple Martini and Tabu.
Meanwhile, Albieri had been steeped in dance culture in São Paulo, Brazil. He grew up with his mother in Texas, but would return to São Paulo intermittently to visit his father, who was a club owner. It only made sense that he became a DJ and producer as he was already behind the decks at the age of 13. Later on, his father became head of security at Pacha Ibiza which afforded him exposure to club culture abroad and solidified his career path as a DJ with gigs at Pacha Sao Paulo, Pacha Ibiza, Funky Room or D’Edge, and residencies at Destino Ibiza and Lips.
After getting their feet wet in the dance music scene for some time, the guys met at a convenient crossroads. They each decided to attend audio engineering courses at the Phoenix Conservatory of Music independently, while there, they immediately connected marking the beginning of their collaborative friendship.
Since then, the duo has charted in the another download site top ten Deep Tech/Minimal charts with multiple underground labels like SUPERFREQ, Priroslin, Mavic Music, Draft Lt, Denied Music, Vampire Spaceship and Still Play to name a few.
